8 Matcha Desserts in Hong Kong All Matcha Fans Must Try

Matchaholics gather here because in this article, I’ll be sharing the MUST HAVE matcha yummies in Hong Kong! This list is legit for my matchaholics friends who were with me on this trip were literally going matcha-crazy too.

Nakamura Tokichi 中村藤吉 Hong Kong
Address: 18/F, The ONE, 100 Nathan Road
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tokichi.hk

This place has been the hot talking point for all green tea lovers since it arrived in HKG and be sure to get there early and queue if you would like to try the limited Warabimochi (as shown at the back of the pic). Although it is served daily, there are only 15-16 plates to go around. I love so many of their dishes like the Matcha buckwheat (cha soba), the macha and hojicha chiffon cakes… and the list goes on.

Oddies Foodies Hong Kong
Address: Shop 1F, G/F, 149 Wan Chai Road

One of the best Eggettes I’ve tasted in Hong Kong! Don’t be deceived by the green appearance for there are many ingredients hidden inside; apple yuzu jelly, crunchy flakes to go along with your matcha ice cream and drizzled with generous rich matcha sauce.

Via Tokyo Hong Kong
Address: Shop nos. 1A-1B, G/F., Leishun Court, 106-126 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/viatokyocafe

Another hot favourite among matcha lovers! I believe even non-matcha lovers will convert after tasting their Okome Shiratama Azuki Soft Matcha (as seen above) for it is not only pretty looking but also tasty and filled with red beans, chewy japanese mochi and sprinkled with crispy rice stalks!

Cafe R&C Hong Kong
Address: 22 Haven Street, Causeway Bay
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cafernc

You will be spoiled with choices for there are so many cute latte art to choose from! You can pick the characters you like from their menu or if you are lucky, the barista might make you a character of your choice. I couldn’t bring myself to drink my matcha hulk latte, toooooo adorable!

周記點心 (Zhou Ji Dian Xin) Hong Kong
Address: Shop H1, G/F, Tung Lee Mansion, Water Street
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/周記點心-茶餐廳-1503763389872117

No Hong Kong trip is complete without having a traditional Hong Kong dim sum feast here! Come early if you don’t want to miss out on their popular items. Fancy a french toast that is stuffed with red beans and matcha? Yums.

茶之環 Cha-no-wa Hong Kong
Address: B1, City’super, Times Square, 1 Matheson Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

My Hong Kong friend who is a matchaholic strongly highly recommended this
Matcha swiss roll and I soon discover why this is soooo addictive! Cha-no-wa is known for their delicious range of matcha desserts and this swiss roll is so soft and fluffy, I almost ate the wrapper along with it!

Smile Yogurt & Dessert Bar Hong Kong
Address: Shop 509, 5/F, Hysan Place, 500 Hennessy Road
Website: http://smile-yogurt.com/

Overdose of matcha with this pretty Love Green Tea froyo filled with matcha mochi, matcha pudding, matcha melty kiss, chocolate balls, crumbs and mango! The array of desserts and cakes at the counter looks pretty delicious too!

I Cremeria Hong Kong
Address: 1/F Fashion Walk Causeway Bay P125 WTC More Causeway Bay
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/iCremeria

I ordered one of their best seller and if you are a fan of the rich and intense matcha flavour, you have to order the Sawatari Tea Daifuku Parfait! The matcha works really well with the creamy Hokkaido milk softserve.
